We are a friendly group of local volunteers who work on a small number of projects around the village. Our aim is to increase civic pride, promote sustainability, encourage community participation, and support environmental responsibility.

Our volunteer projects make a real, visible difference to Croston. By planting, tidying and caring for public spaces around the village, we:

  • Create colourful, welcoming flower displays that brighten streets, verges and public areas  

  • Improve the look and feel of our village, boosting local pride and making Croston a more attractive place to live and visit  

  • Support sustainability and biodiversity through thoughtful planting and environmental care  

  • Strengthen community spirit by bringing people together to care for our shared spaces  

  • Help put Croston on the map – we were proud UK Finalists 2022 and won a Gold Medal in Britain in Bloom with the RHS

We meet regularly for just a couple of hours to trim, weed, plant and tidy.
Sessions are posted on our Facebook page and WhatsApp group.  
No gardening experience is necessary!
